4 Lessons Learned from the March PowerLink Advisory Board Meetings of 2021 – “The Art of Using FaceBook to Generate High Quality Leads for Your Business” and a Sneak Preview of the May Sessions….

“The only way to predict the future is to create it.”  -Peter Drucker

We’ve been waiting for Spring 2021 all of last year—for a view of business that is more like 2019—more normal….an easier business life. Not quite there, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This month, we worked with more than 171 small business owners who attended one of our 14 Community Advisory Boards or Private one-on-one mentoring sessions over Zoom. The topic was the reinforcing of our 2021 Revenue Goal—Using FaceBook to Generate Revenue and our Top Three Goals (or “Rocks”) we need to achieve by March 31st. March for PowerLink participants was asking ourselves the toughest questions of the year: (1) Am I clear about where I want to take my business? (2) Am I clear about the top three business challenges I have to overcome in the first three months of the year? (3) Am I clear about how I am delegating some of these tasks to others? (employees, contractors, sub-contractors, or vendors).

In 90 minutes of talking, writing, sharing, laughing and listening this month, here were a few of the Lessons Learned from March 2021 among Powerlink Small Business Owners across the United States about “The Art of FaceBook as a Revenue Driving Tactic”:

1.       1.    “I delegated social media to an occasional post when I felt like it.” This session taught most of us that in four simple steps (Create FB Business Page….Set Up Posting Schedule…Test FB Advertising…Analyze Everything!).

  1. “I’m like a deer in the headlights. Where do I begin? Our guest advisors walked everyone through the four simple steps of creating a FaceBook Business Page, loading existing customers, searching for lookalike audiences and testing FaceBook advertising. Everyone agreed it doesn’t seem that hard if you see it broken down in these steps.
  2. The $9 FaceBook Ad. One PowerLink company decided to be brave and write an ad and test it. They spent $9, got 11 inquiries and realized they needed to do a better job on follow up of all those inquiries! More testing in April!
  3. “I want my Digital advertising to generate $100,000 per month in new revenue.” We had one PowerLink company accomplish that goal!  They had to build a whole inbound strategy to handle the leads quickly and efficiently. They are spending about $3000 per month in ads. But they admitted they started spending $100 per month a year ago.  They are now testing Ibstagram, You Tube, Pinterest and You Tube. Am
